Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Musician Broker platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

2. Purpose of the Platform

Musician Broker is a private matching service designed to connect musicians and bands. The platform uses anonymized profile summaries during the matching phase and reveals identities only after both parties express mutual interest.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, or represented by a parent or legal guardian who is eighteen or older, to create an account or use the platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. Use of the platform is void where prohibited by law.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information during registration and profile creation. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

Musician Broker uses a privacy‑preserving matching model. Your identity is not revealed to other users unless both parties indicate mutual interest. Anonymous profile summaries are used during the evaluation phase and are never publicly posted or indexed.

6. Non‑Commercial Use

The platform is intended solely for personal, non‑commercial use by musicians and bands seeking compatible collaborators. Unauthorized commercial use—including scraping data, harvesting email addresses, sending unsolicited communications, or framing or linking to the platform without permission—is strictly prohibited.

7. Proprietary Rights

Musician Broker owns and retains all proprietary rights in the platform, including its trademarks, branding, algorithms, workflows, and other intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, publish, display, or sell any proprietary information without prior written permission. Users do not upload media or content that would require a traditional copyright‑infringement process.

8. User‑Submitted Information

Users provide profile information, preferences, and matching criteria. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information you submit. Musician Broker may review, edit, or remove information that violates these Terms of Service, poses a security risk, or undermines the integrity of the platform.

9. Matching and Communication

Musician Broker provides match suggestions based on profile data and a proprietary comparison algorithm. Matches are not guaranteed. Communication between users is enabled only after mutual acceptance.

10. Appropriate Use

You agree not to misuse the platform, including but not limited to:

• Submitting false or misleading information
• Attempting to identify users before mutual acceptance
• Using the platform for harassment, solicitation, or spam
• Reverse‑engineering or attempting to bypass platform protections

11. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Musician Broker is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including lost opportunities, failed matches, or disputes between users. The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Musician Broker, its developers, and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms of Service, or your infringement of any rights of another user or third party.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and Musician Broker regarding your use of the platform. If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
