Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about using Musician Broker.

1. Accounts & Profiles

Is my profile public?

No. Profiles are private and never publicly listed or searchable.

Can I update my profile?

Yes. You can update your information at any time from your dashboard.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can delete your entire account directly from your settings page using the Delete Account button. This permanently removes your account and all associated data from the platform. Once an account is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

If you only want to remove a specific musician or band profile, you may use the Delete Profile option instead. This permanently deletes that profile while keeping your account active. Deleted profiles cannot be restored.

If you need assistance or have questions about the deletion process, our support team is always available to help.

2. Matching

Why don’t I see many matches?

Matches depend on compatibility factors such as location, availability, and musical style. New users are added regularly, so matches may appear over time.

What does “Archived” mean?

Archived matches are closed but can be restored at any time using the Unarchive button.

Why can’t I nudge again yet?

Nudges have a cooldown period to keep interactions respectful and low‑pressure.

3. Contact Information

Why can’t I see their contact info?

Contact information is revealed only after both parties explicitly agree to exchange details.

Can I undo a dismissal?

Yes. You can restore a dismissed match by unarchiving it from your Match History. To help avoid confusion, here is the difference between Dismiss and Archive:

  • Dismiss: This means you are not interested in the match. Dismissing hides the match from your active list and signals that you do not want to move forward. No contact information is shared, and the match becomes inactive. You can still restore it later using Undismiss.
  • Archive: Archiving is simply for organization. It removes the match from your active list without affecting its status. Archived matches can be restored at any time using Unarchive, and the other party does not see or receive any notification.

In short: Dismiss means “I’m not interested,” while Archive means “I’m setting this aside for now.” Both actions are reversible from your Match History.

4. Privacy

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third‑party marketers.

Who can see my information?

Only you and, after mutual acceptance, the other party. Administrators may contact you for clarification but never share your information without consent.

5. Technical

I didn’t receive my email. What should I do?

Check your spam folder and ensure your email address is correct. If the issue persists, contact support.

Something looks wrong. How do I report it?

If you notice anything that doesn’t look right, please email support@musicianbroker.com with a brief description of the issue. Including a screenshot is very helpful and allows us to understand exactly what you’re seeing.
